Contest entry submission closed for the V Tsiolkovsky ISFF

On the 15th of January, a call for contest entries for the Tsiolkovsky ISFF 2024 on FilmFreeway was successfully closed.

Among the entries, there are more than 1780 fiction films, documentaries, animated and fulldome films from 108 countries; together they make up about 600 hours of footage, only 40 of which the audience is going to see. This is about 10% more than last year, which, on the one hand, is great news (it means that the festival is getting more popular despite everything), but on the other hand, it makes the process of selection more difficult and narrows the selection criteria.

In the coming month, the selection committee will continue to look through the submission. The program curators will make their decisions, and the final lists of contest participants are going to be published on February 15.

As usual, the guest and the participants of the festival can learn about the latest news about screening programs, novelties and various (pleasant) surprises on the festival's website (https://space-fest.ru) and official social media pages.

The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival 2024 is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Roscosmos State Corporation and the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, the Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga Region, the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, the Association of Planetariums of Russia, the Nika TV Company and other public and commercial organizations.

TASS is the main media partner of the festival.
