Honored Artist of the RSFSR, film director, screenwriter, actress, and producer Natalya Bondarchuk presented her new film twice at the VI Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival.
The documentary “Altai. The Seed of the Future”, created to mark the 150th anniversary of Nikolai Roerich and the 120th anniversary of Svyatoslav Roerich, was screened on April 13 at the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics named after K. Tsiolkovsky in Kaluga, and on April 14 at the Mir cinema in Obninsk.
Natalya Bondarchuk met Svyatoslav Roerich three times. The actress shared that this film is especially precious to her because of the memories it evokes.
"Today is another unforgettable day, because I’ve been fascinated by space since childhood. My father, Sergei Fedorovich Bondarchuk, even wanted to cast a cosmonaut as the lead in War and Peace, and he used to read The Monism of the Universe by Tsiolkovsky to a young Nikita Sergeyevich Mikhalkov. I have an inherited longing for the stars!" said Natalya Sergeyevna.

On April 16 at 3:00 PM, another creative meeting with Natalya Bondarchuk and a screening of Altai. The Seed of the Future will take place at the House of Folk Art and Cinema “Tsentralny” in Kaluga.

The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Government and Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Kaluga Region. Festival partners include State Corporation "Roscosmos," Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center Research Institute, and the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics named after K. E.
