Roscosmos Day at the V Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival

As is tradition, one of the festival days was dedicated to the State Corporation "Roscosmos."

For the second consecutive year, the event was opened by the Director General of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov.

On April 15, Yuri Ivanovich met with cadets and members of the Youth Army, sharing insights into Roscosmos' activities, the development of the Russian orbital station and its differences from the current ISS, the expansion of the satellite constellation, and much more.
Roscosmos Media director Larisa Smirnova presented two of her documentary films at the V.G. Belinsky Library: Valentina Tereshkova. Fire of My Soul and Vladimir Utkin. The Warlord of the Rocket World.

Naturally, no Roscosmos Day would be complete without meetings with cosmonauts. The educational center of the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics was packed, as it welcomed Heroes of Russia and Russian Federation cosmonauts Dmitry Petelin and Oleg Artemyev. They also appeared as guests on Good Evening, Universe!, the signature program hosted by festival president Igor Ugolnikov, which traditionally concludes the festival day with a recap of the day's events.

But that wasn’t all! On this special evening, Igor Stanislavovich was joined by co-host Anton Shkaplerov, Hero of Russia, Russian Federation cosmonaut, and jury member of the V Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival. The second half of the program featured guests Oleg Ugolnikov, Senior Research Fellow at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Andrey Baturin, President of the Eurasian Composers' Union.

The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, State Corporation "Roscosmos," Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center Research Institute, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Government and Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga Region, the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, the Russian Planetarium Association, and other public and commercial organizations.

The festival’s media partners include Roscosmos Media and TRK Nika.
