Preparations for the V Tsiolkovsky ISFF are in full swing

In the beginning of February, the organizing committee held a meeting concerning all the preparations and the holding of the Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival. The preparations are going full speed, as only two months are left before the festival. The organizers aim to make the festival even bigger and more attractive for both guests and participants.

Representatives from the city administration, the regional administration, and the festival’s organizers took part in a meeting held under the presidency of the vice-governor of the Kaluga region Konstantin Gorobtsov and the president of the Tsiolkovsky ISFF, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Igor Ugolnikov.

This year, the festival will be held in Kaluga for the 5th time. Following traditions, it starts on the 12th of April, onCosmonautics Day. The participants of the meeting have discussed various venues chosen for the festival’s activities. This year, there are going to be about ten of them. Besides, the organizing committee took care of informing people about the festival dedicated to Yuri Gagarin’s 90th anniversary, to Soviet and Russian cosmonauts. Such topic is sure to attract the interest of both children and adults. An important aspect of the meeting was the discussion of the informational support during the days of the festival.

The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival in 2024 is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Roscosmos State Corporation and the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, the Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga Region, the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, the Association of Planetariums of Russia, the Nika TV Company and other public and commercial organizations.
