SPACE. STARS. OPINIONS. Nikolay VIKTOROV

Nikolay Viktorov, director, producer, screenwriter, confessed his love for movies about people, realized childhood dreams and commitment to the idea of space in the "SPACE. STARS. OPINIONS" festival section.

"For me, space is a part of life, just like the ground under my feet. I often think that all this struggle for power is the garbage of life if you look at it from outer space. And how wonderful is a person who creates something, because they create a part of the space, whether it's Venus de Milo or mittens for grandchildren."

"Undoubtedly, Tsiolkovsky is a man who heard the universe, a great scientist who became a mediator between people and the universe."

"To be honest, shooting fiction is a very boring activity now. Everything happens on the Chromakey, and then they just draw a flying saucer and life in another Galaxy. I love real impressions and experiences, movies about people!"

"As a child, I did not dream of becoming a cosmonaut, because from the age of 7 I was actually on a fantastic journey: I wandered around real starships, saw robots and aliens. This was when my father was making his films. What else could you dream of?"

The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival will be held in Kaluga on April 12-16, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Roscosmos State Corporation, the Kaluga Region Government and the Ministry of Culture, Rossotrudnichestvo, the K.E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, the Association of Planetariums of Russia and other public and commercial organizations.
