On the 9th of March, the birth day of Yuri Gagarin, Earth’s first cosmonaut, the organizers of 5th Tsiolkovsky ISFF will gather at the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics to talk to the press about the upcoming festival.
The press-conference will start at 13:00 in the conference hall of the Museum’s new building. The cancellation ceremony of the special letter ‘B’ postcard (issued for the festival) will also take place during the event.
More information about the festival will be delivered by:
· Igor Ugolnikov, People's Artist of Russia, film director, screenwriter and producer, president and initiator of the festival;
· Natalia Abakumova, director of the Konstantin E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, president of jury at the ISFF 'Tsiolkovsky';
· Ruslan Bairamov, head of the International Public Charity Fund ‘Dialogue of Cultures – United World’;
· Igor Prokopenko, journalist, documentary screenwriter and director, writer, vice-president of the documentary and publicist projects department of REN TV, program supervisor at ISFF ‘Tsiolkovsky’ (documentary cinema);
· Irina Soshnikova, head teacher of the Film Production department at VGIK (the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography).
The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival in 2024 is held with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Roscosmos State Corporation and the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, the Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga Region, the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, the Association of Planetariums of Russia, the Nika TV Company and other public and commercial organizations.
