The Tsiolkovsky Film Festival expands the number of venues!

The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival (Tsiolkovsky ISFF), which will be held on April 12-16, 2023 in Kaluga, has expanded the number of its venues.

According to the established tradition, the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics remains the main venue of the film festival.

In addition, the audience will get acquainted with the programmes of the International Film Festival at the Innovative Cultural Center, the Central House of Folk Art and Cinema, the Belinsky Kaluga Regional Library, the Kaluga Region Tourist Information Center, as well as cinemas of the Kaluga region. Special events and film screenings will take place at Kaluga State University named after K. E. Tsiolkovsky and the School of Creative Industries.

This year, new venues will host the cultural film festival - the Kaluga Puppet Theater and the Village Theater. Special events, film screenings and creative meetings with representatives of science and culture societies of Russia will be held there.

The Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival will be held in Kaluga and the cities of the Kaluga Region for the 4th time. Igor Ugolnikov, a film director, screenwriter, producer, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation, is the president and initiator of the Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival.

There will be competitions of feature, documentary, animated and full-dome films at the Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival, the main prize is the Tsiolkovsky Grand Prix. The festival programme also includes documentaries by TV Roskosmos, retrospective screenings, lectures, master classes and creative meetings with cosmonauts, cinematographers, scientists, representatives of the space industry, special screenings, and presentations by the festival partners.

The Tsiolkovsky International Film Festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Roscosmos State Corporation, the Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga Region, the K.E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, the Association of Planetariums of Russia and other public and commercial organizations. The chief media partner of the festival is TASS.
