Today we celebrate the birthday of Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space!

His famous phrase “Let's go!” which he said before the flight on the Vostok-1 ship, became a catch phrase. And 108 minutes of his flight opened a new page in the history of mankind.

Yuri Gagarin became a global celebrity and visited about 30 countries, accepting to invitations from various organizations. Gagarin was awarded the orders of Bulgaria, Poland, Indonesia, Cuba, Liberia, Egypt, and medals from several other countries.

At the International Tsiolkovsky Space Film Festival, it will be possible to see documentaries with the participation of the first Russian cosmonaut.

The Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival will be held in Kaluga on April 12-16, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Roscosmos State Corporation, the Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Kaluga Region, Rossotrudnichestvo, the K.E. Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics, The Russian Planetariums Association and other public and commercial organizations.
