On April 13, as part of the Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival, a unique musical performance will take place - the Heroic Epic We Are the First! for symphony orchestra and academic choir, composed by Pavel Ovsyannikov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation. The production is dedicated to the pioneers of space exploration and is deeply connected to the image of Yuri Gagarin. It will resonate through the Grand Atrium of the State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics.
On January 14, Pavel Borisovich visited the venue of the epic performance, where he met with the president of the Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Ugolnikov, the director of the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics and chair of the festival jury, Natalia Abakumova, the director of the production, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Galina Vlasenok, and the festival team. The composer also held discussions with Marina Biryukova, director of the Kaluga Regional Philharmonic, and leaders of the Philharmonic’s artistic ensembles.
The participants discussed key organizational details for the planning of the show. The epic promises to be a breathtaking experience!
