«The Secret of the Third Planet» at the TSIOLKOVSKY ISFF

In the retrospective section «History of Cinema» a wonderful Soviet science fiction cartoon «The Secret of the Third Planet» will be shown about a brave girl Alice, who goes into space for outlandish animals.

The script of the film was written by the legendary Soviet science fiction writer Kir BULYCHEV and directed by Roman KACHANOV. For Roman KACHANOV, The Secret of the Third Planet" became the fourth directorial work made in the technique of traditional hand-drawn animation. As a production designer and animator, he worked on more than 30 animated films, but Kachanov's most famous directorial works before that were cartoons shot in puppet animation Mittens, Crocodile Gena, Cheburashka, Shapoklyak and others.

The music for the film was written by Alexander ZATSEPIN.

Character design was done by Natalia ORLOVA. The artist, master of the course at the animation department at VGIK, Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation Natalya Vyacheslavovna ORLOVA will present the film at the ISFF.
