Fulldome cinema program at Tsiolkovsky ISFF

At the Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival, in addition to competition films, retrospectives, and films of the Roscosmos Studio, the program of the Full Dome Cinema Planetarium at the Crossroads of Science and Culture will be shown. The planetarium of the Museum of the History of Cosmonautics will host lectures and screenings of space full-dome films every day from April 13 to April 17. 

At 12:00 on April 13, the planetarium will host a lecture by Oleg Ugolnikov, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Senior Researcher of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Deputy Chairman of the Methodological Commission of the All-Russian Olympiad in Astronomy, "Water in the Atmosphere and in Space." The guests will then be shown a film by Japanese director Masaru Hirohashi "Snowflake - a message from heaven."

On April 14 at 16:00, the director of the Astronomical Observatory of Irkutsk State University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Sergei Yazev will give a lecture "The First in Space." After the professor's lecture, the film of the Kaluga State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky "He was the first" will be shown in the Planetarium.

On April 15 at 16:00  the Russian astronomer and science writer, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Head of the Department of Physics and Star Evolution of the Institute of Astronomy RAS, professor Dmitry Vibe will deliver a lecture "The Birth of Planets." After the lecture, there will be a screening of the film "The Birth of Planet Earth," which is the brainchild of the American studio Spitz Creative Media, NCSA's Advanced Visualization Lab, Thomas Lucas Productions, Inc. Together with the Tellus Science Museum, as well as with the support of the state of Pennsylvania, the main film agency of Philadelphia, financial assistance from the National Science Foundation.

On April 16 at 16:00 astrophysicist, Ph.D. in physics and mathematics, researcher of the Space Projects Laboratory of the Moscow State University Anton Biryukov will deliver a lecture. Then the audience will be presented with the film of the Moscow planetarium "Multicolored Universe."

On April 17, on the last day of the festival, at 16:00 a lecture by the co-chairman of the Association of Planetariums of Russia Andrei Lobanov "Festival in the Planetarium and Big Science" will take place. The lecture will end with the screening of the film "Space Near Us" by the V. V. Tereshkova Center.
