«Space Exploration» documentary section - short films at the Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival

The idea of the synthesis of man and technology is the one uniting the films of this section.

In the study and exploration of space, man is vitally dependent on machines and robots, but even the most advanced technology is an empty set of iron pieces without human participation . The interdependence and interaction of two matters – living and artificial - gradually unfolds more and more new facets of space science before humanity when meeting with an unknown world, opens a person's eyes to their own, as yet inexhaustible resource.…

The documentary section of the «Space Exploration» competitive programme includes 7 short films:

To Be a Cosmonaut, Directed by Aleksandr Panov, Russia
Space. The way to the start, Directed by Roman Shelukhanov, Russia

Short film sessions will be held from April 12 to 16 in the halls of the Innovative Cultural Center, in the Tsentralny House of Folk Art and Cinema and in the contemporary art space PRO ART'S.
