The Film “Gagarin. Embracing the World” Travels the Globe

One of the laureates of the V Tsiolkovsky International Space Film Festival was the documentary “Gagarin. Embracing the World” by Anna Filippova, which received the Special Prize from the State Corporation Roscosmos. This short documentary is based on archival footage from the first cosmonaut's international visits - his famous "Mission of Peace," during which Yuri Gagarin traveled to 46 countries. The film also includes interviews with cosmonauts and space industry professionals, as well as a presentation of the "Dialogue of Cultures - United World" International Foundation project.

The documentary has already participated in international film festivals in India, Mexico, and Serbia. With the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, special screenings have been organized in Sukhumi (Abkhazia), Grodno and Gomel (Belarus), Jerusalem (Israel), Jakarta (Indonesia), Baikonur and Kyzylorda (Kazakhstan), Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), Bethlehem (Palestine), Cyprus, Zambia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Armenia, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Honduras, and Thailand. Upcoming destinations include Nepal, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and other countries.
The film was produced by ANO "9 May" with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the State Corporation "Roscosmos," the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center Research Institute, Rossotrudnichestvo, the Ethnographic Park-Museum "ETNOMIR," and the "Dialogue of Cultures - United World" International Foundation.
